Supervise journeymen and apprentice machinists to install, align, and fabricate shipboard equipment; ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets; plan staffing, tools, and materials; coordinate with project managers, HR, estimating, and other shops; conduct toolbox meetings, training, timecard review, and apprentice development; contribute to estimating and continuous improvement.

Entry-level apprenticeships across marine trades (pipefitting, painting, welding, shipfitting, machinery assembly, electricians). Learn trade-specific fabrication, installation, welding, piping, and painting through on-the-job training and required classroom instruction. Maintain safe work practices, track OJT hours, attend unpaid classroom training, pass tests and practical exams, and follow supervisors' directions.
