Designs, develops, integrates, commissions, and supports factory automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, CNC equipment, and robotics. The role programs and troubleshoots controls, evaluates new technologies, supports vendor selection and system integration, validates performance and safety, trains operations and maintenance teams, and improves manufacturing uptime, throughput, and reliability. Requires collaboration across engineering, operations, maintenance, vendors, and system integrators in a permanent magnet manufacturing facility.

Leads the development of learning and training infrastructure for a new manufacturing plant. Designs and delivers onboarding, technical, safety, quality, compliance, leadership, and qualification-based programs using ADDIE and adult learning principles. Administers the LMS, maintains training records and matrices, evaluates effectiveness, supports SOP implementation, and partners with plant functions to improve workforce readiness, compliance, and operational performance during startup and production ramp-up.

Own and continuously improve finishing and mechanical manufacturing processes, including grinding, cutting, surface finishing, inspection, cleaning, coating, marking, and packaging. Lead process development, equipment optimization, validation, root cause analysis, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, quality improvements, and new technology implementation. Provide technical support to production and maintenance, develop process documentation and training, support audits and safety compliance, and lead cross-functional improvement projects without direct reports.

Owns manufacturing equipment and tooling engineering across specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, optimization, reliability, and production handoff. Troubleshoots equipment issues, improves uptime and OEE, develops tooling standards, supports preventive maintenance and capital projects, manages suppliers, and maintains technical documentation and compliance. Collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Automation, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to improve safety, yield, throughput, cost, and process capability.
