Oversee daily passenger railway station operations, including ticketing, boarding, passenger assistance, station safety, cleanliness, and facility maintenance. Coordinate train arrivals and departures with control room personnel and operators. Lead station hosts and support staff, manage customer service delivery, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with railway policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Manage operational railway safety standards, safety management systems, safety cases, risk assessments, hazard logs, regulatory compliance, and safety KPIs. Guide managers on safe systems of work, conduct inspections, maintain safety-critical competence, investigate incidents, report statutory occurrences, and deliver safety communications. Support change management, HSEQ planning, safety certification workshops, and continual improvement across passenger railway operations.

Manage and improve operational performance across a freight and passenger rail network. Monitor train service delivery, analyze delays and disruptions, investigate root causes, produce KPI reports, lead improvement initiatives and post-incident reviews, and coordinate with controllers, maintenance teams, operators, customers, and senior stakeholders. Ensure reliability, safety, efficiency, data quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with transport goals.
