Supports clinical quality improvement through HEDIS chart review, care-gap identification, diagnosis and code verification, clinical data abstraction, patient outreach, chronic-condition education, social determinants of health screenings, medication adherence support, appointment coordination, and community health events. The intern may also assist with in-home eye exams and blood pressure checks while helping improve value-based care outcomes and STAR ratings.

Coordinates workforce development projects by managing schedules, resources, documentation, outreach, meetings, risks, quality assurance, budgets, and stakeholder communication. Serves as an interdepartmental liaison, monitors project progress, resolves issues, supports program operations, and provides administrative assistance to leadership.

Provides comprehensive eye care, routine eye examinations, diagnosis and treatment of visual disorders and eye diseases, corrective lens prescriptions, patient education, and treatment recommendations. Works collaboratively with ophthalmologists, optometrists, technicians, and other healthcare providers in outpatient clinics serving diverse patient populations.
