Lead a 32-person Data Platforms department to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable database platform services (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Exadata, MongoDB, Hadoop) across on-prem and AWS. Drive DBRE practices, automation, self-service, operational excellence, and migrate relational workloads toward PostgreSQL while maintaining Oracle stability. Build cross-location collaboration, stakeholder alignment, and measurable platform outcomes.

Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and AI automation using Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD and Python. Build internal developer platform capabilities and AI-powered solutions (LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG, vector DBs). Ensure observability, SLO-based reliability, secure secrets handling, incident response, and automation of runbooks. Mentor engineers and drive platform engineering best practices.

Work with Databricks users and technical teams to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, prioritize and deliver platform requests, support onboarding, document processes, improve governance, cost efficiency, and operational practices, and coordinate issue resolution while staying current on AI and data platform trends.
