Own and run the organization’s events and live activities end-to-end: plan multi-day staff retreats, programmatic events, and podcast recordings. Manage vendors, budgets, travel, RSVPs, on-site logistics, and design attendee experience. Build repeatable processes, decide when to outsource, and attend events in person. Role is Bay Area–based with some travel and may manage contractors as function grows.

Provide operations support for research teams by coordinating external experts and contractors, supporting data projects (security and licensing), organizing events, managing external communications channels, and handling logistical tasks to help new research initiatives start and run smoothly.

Support and scale people operations by owning onboarding/offboarding, staff support (benefits, payroll, policies), managing HR vendors, tracking contracts and compliance, coordinating reviews, handling visa sponsorship processes, and, at the Manager level, designing HR processes, driving strategic HR decisions, and mentoring staff.
