Designs 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and bills of materials. Applies design for manufacturability principles, collaborates with production teams, and maintains design records, safety compliance reports, and technical manuals. Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, proficiency with CAD and analysis software, and knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes.

Test and validate 6-DOF aircraft flight-dynamics models using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C/C++. Perform flight mechanics, stability, control, performance, propulsion, and aerodynamic analyses across the flight envelope. Develop test cases, scripts, simulations, and verification evidence; correlate models with wind-tunnel, ground-test, and flight-test data; analyze failures and degraded modes; and support certification documentation and system safety activities.

Develop and deploy machine learning tools for engineering simulation applications, including surrogate models, data pipelines, chained model systems, and retraining workflows. Audit simulation data, prototype and productize research, benchmark model performance, establish evaluation methodologies, and deploy AI tools to engineering teams. The role requires deep learning experience with scientific or engineering data, strong Python ML libraries, surrogate modeling, and database and retrieval pipeline skills.
