Provide individualized classroom support to children with special needs, assist teachers in engagement and large-group activities, use CLASS and Conscious Discipline strategies, collect assessment documentation, maintain safety, hygiene, and confidentiality, communicate with families, attend trainings, and follow all center policies and emergency/medication procedures.

Provide daily coaching, modeling, and professional development to Head Start teachers; support curriculum implementation, child assessment, CLASS and ECERS evaluations; facilitate trainings; ensure compliance with Head Start and state standards; collect and analyze child data to improve school readiness outcomes; maintain professional development plans and certifications.

The Special Needs Assistant provides individualized classroom support for children with special needs, assists teachers, and maintains a supportive environment. Responsibilities include engaging children, assessing progress, and maintaining communication with families while ensuring safety and hygiene.
