The Project Accountant manages financial reporting and analysis for infrastructure projects from award through completion. Responsibilities include forecasting revenue, costs, margins, and cash flow; supporting month-end and year-end close; budgeting and variance analysis; reconciling job costs and billings; reviewing change orders; maintaining project data in Oracle; and enforcing project-level financial controls. The role partners with project, operations, and finance teams to identify risks, improve reporting accuracy, and streamline accounting processes.

Leads procurement, materials management, expediting, and logistics for a major transit construction project. Manages Buyers and Logistics personnel, develops project-wide procurement processes and KPIs, oversees tenders and supplier contracts, negotiates commercial terms, manages vendor risks and performance, coordinates material deliveries, and drives cost savings and procure-to-pay improvements. Works with clients, project teams, and stakeholders while ensuring regulatory and organizational compliance.

Leads weekly full-cycle payroll across multiple entities and unionized operations. Oversees payroll compliance, remittances, reconciliations, year-end reporting, audits, controls, and payroll system optimization. Manages and mentors the payroll team while interpreting collective agreements and legislation. Collaborates with HR, Finance, Operations, and project teams to ensure accurate payroll, benefits integration, reporting, and labour-cost analytics.
