Provides technical leadership and hands-on development for complex embedded software projects. Responsibilities include embedded architecture, design, implementation, debugging, system bring-up, silicon validation, and collaboration with ASIC and hardware teams. The role mentors engineers and directs bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux development across ARM and DSP platforms. Occasional travel to another UK site may be required, with a minimum of three office days weekly in Milton Park, Abingdon.

Develop semiconductor test solutions for full-custom ASIC products using automated test equipment, including test programs, loadboards, sockets, and supporting hardware. Define test plans, specifications, FMEA, and development timelines; install solutions at OSATs; manage outsourced test partners; and resolve production-test yield issues. The role requires collaboration with product engineering and international stakeholders and is based primarily in the Milton Park office.

Lead and deliver multi-disciplinary ASIC development programmes from specification through tapeout/production. Plan, scope, allocate resources, manage schedule, risks, budgets and stakeholder communication. Track tasks, finances and quality, chair reviews, ensure ISO9001:2015 QMS alignment, and release customer deliverables while motivating cross-functional engineering teams.
