Develop and own mission-critical, scalable Java APIs and cloud-native systems for a payments platform. Design, build, deploy, and operate AWS applications using Spring and SQL databases, while influencing technical direction, delivering key projects, mentoring engineers, and contributing to secure, reliable payment solutions.

Supports card scheme and BIN Sponsorship projects by maintaining plans, action logs, RAID logs, documentation, Jira workflows, reporting, and stakeholder updates. Assists with tokenization initiatives involving Apple Pay and Google Pay, monitors scheme and regulatory updates, tracks risks and dependencies, and escalates issues. The role also supports process improvement and develops expertise in card schemes, payment processing, compliance, and project governance under the guidance of a Senior Card Scheme Project Manager.

Drive new business opportunities from prospecting through contract closure. Build and nurture sales pipelines through partnerships, marketing, and cold outreach; manage opportunity progression, maintain accurate Salesforce records, negotiate contracts, and communicate value propositions to internal stakeholders and C-level prospects. The role requires card payments industry expertise, strong questioning and presentation skills, technical understanding, and consistent achievement of sales targets.
