Teaches, conducts research, mentors Doctor of Physical Therapy students, and participates in departmental, school, and university service. The role specializes in neuromuscular physical therapy and neuroscience and requires eligibility for Virginia physical therapy licensure, clinical experience, and an established or developing scholarly agenda. A terminal doctoral degree, advanced clinical certification, residency or fellowship, and CAPTE teaching experience are preferred.

Catalogs, processes, repairs, inventories, and withdraws library materials, including government documents and electronic resources. Maintains records in Sierra, supports course reserves, trains student employees, and collaborates on catalog cleanup. Provides circulation-desk services such as check-in/check-out, renewals, patron assistance, borrower-card issuance, telephone support, payments, shelving, and stack maintenance. The role also requires opening or closing the library and handling books and materials physically.

Teach undergraduate exercise science courses based on expertise, mentor and advise students, support student events, and contribute to service-learning, research, and interprofessional collaboration. Potential courses include exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, program design, strength and conditioning, and research. The faculty member will work primarily on the Emory, Virginia campus within the School of Health Sciences and may have opportunities for summer teaching and graduate healthcare instruction.
