Design, develop, and maintain Emesent’s Cortex robotics software stack, including C++ modules, Python tooling, automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, Docker workflows, and Linux deployments. Contribute to architecture, hardware integration, navigation, mapping, perception, simulation, and field validation. Mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, collaborate across teams, document decisions, and support customer escalations. The role requires strong software engineering practices and may involve robotics, embedded systems, and autonomy technologies.

Administers and improves Emesent’s hybrid corporate IT environment across Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, VMware, AWS, networking, identity, endpoints, and engineering compute. Provides L2/L3 escalation support, manages access and security controls, maintains disaster recovery and business continuity, oversees patching and vulnerability management, and supports cybersecurity governance. The role also drives documentation, change management, compliance, automation, and secure adoption of AI tools and new technologies.

Leads the Data Processing engineering group across technical direction, architecture, delivery, quality, support, and people management. Oversees SLAM and LiDAR processing systems spanning applied research, production software, cloud processing, autonomy, calibration, and reliability. Partners with Product, QA, Commercial, Manufacturing, and peer engineering managers to deliver predictable commitments, improve architecture, develop engineers, manage incidents, and establish stronger engineering-management practices.
