The role involves software development and modernization efforts for national security, requiring extensive experience in software engineering and advanced skills in relevant technologies.

Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle: requirements, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Develop backend web services, implement databases and APIs, use containers and cloud platforms, apply automated testing and Agile practices, support system administrators, create training materials, and mentor junior engineers.

Develop full stack solutions and support modernization efforts for mission-critical tools while collaborating with a team to explore new technologies and prototypes.
