EleMental Learning is an online tutor matching service founded by a former classroom educator.  Our service is differentiated from that of other online tutoring providers in that we are highly selective about the tutors we include in our directory.  Specifically, tutors must be actual state-certified teachers with real classroom experience.  This ensures that our clients receive tutoring from somebody who not only knows the subject matter, but who actually knows how to teach.  Compare this to other tutoring providers who use primarily lay people who are not trained educators as their tutors, which results in an inferior and unstructured tutoring lesson.

EleMental Learning began with a focus in Chicagoland and has now expanded to other major metro areas around the country.  And while we are believers in charging what the market will bear in each metro area, our hourly tutoring rates are typically lower than those of other "supposedly elite" major tutoring providers who suffer from massive headcount bloat, schlocky advertising, and huge brick-and-mortar issues that do not burden us.
