Supports pilot production of refractory E-Brick heating elements through casting, mold preparation, firing, quality control, packaging, and documentation. The intern maintains production areas and materials, develops and revises SOPs, prepares QA/QC samples, and implements process improvements to increase throughput, consistency, and quality. The role also includes an independent capstone engineering project with direct operational impact.

Lead design and analysis of megawatt-scale electrical power and control systems for the Joule Hive™ thermal battery. Develop electrical simulation methodologies, manage contractors, perform site-specific studies, support installation/commissioning, and hire/mentor junior engineers while collaborating across design teams.

Design and model electrical power and control systems for a thermal battery. Build CAD frameworks and circuit models, support testing, PLC I/O commissioning, document designs, and perform on-site troubleshooting and commissioning (50% travel).
