Leads vaccine technical development projects focused on fermentation and bioreactor technologies. Designs and optimizes processes, experiments, methods, protocols, and SOPs; performs laboratory work; troubleshoots complex technical issues; oversees data interpretation; and coordinates cross-functional project activities. The role also mentors team members, supports process scale-up and technology transfer, develops innovative improvements, and represents Process Development within project teams and stakeholder groups.

Coordinates manufacturing operations training programs for new and existing employees. Serves as lead trainer, partners with supervisors, supports on-the-job trainer development, tracks onboarding competency and KPIs, manages curricula and training documentation, and promotes safety and quality. Requires experience in a regulated environment, LMS data management, SuccessFactors, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Leads external innovation for Elanco’s animal health R&D pipeline by sourcing and evaluating opportunities, coordinating cross-functional technical assessments, designing validation experiments, negotiating research agreements, managing alliances, monitoring competitive landscapes, and advising leadership on investment decisions. Builds relationships with biotech companies, universities, grant agencies, and other partners while supporting pharmaceutical development for farm animal and pet health.
