Teams at Eight Sleep

Lead mechanical design for consumer electromechanical products from concept through production. Responsibilities include CAD modeling, prototyping, testing, thermal/fluid/structural analysis, cross-functional collaboration, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing ramp support in Asia. The role requires designing plastic, metal, and soft goods components integrated with sensors and actuators, supporting high-volume manufacturing, and traveling to China as needed.

Design and evolve Eight Sleep’s mobile app from information architecture and wireframes through high-fidelity interfaces. Conduct user research and usability studies, use qualitative and quantitative data to iterate designs, build and document design systems, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Brand, Marketing, and executives to ship engaging experiences that improve sleep tracking, engagement, and membership value.

Build and maintain high-quality native Android applications for sleep and wellness products. Collaborate with backend, firmware, machine learning, hardware, research, growth, and executive teams. Conduct code reviews, maintain code quality, optimize app performance, and deliver scalable, testable features in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes pixel-perfect interfaces, custom Compose UI components, stability, and health technology integrations.
