The Assistant Director supports an elementary youth program by coordinating curriculum and daily activities, supervising educators, maintaining safe and clean learning spaces, communicating with families and school partners, managing schedules and supplies, maintaining compliance records, and supporting staff recruitment, training, evaluation, meetings, and special events.

Leads after-school enrichment activities for middle-school students, including educational, recreational, arts, leadership, and community service programs. Builds positive relationships, manages student groups, maintains safety and discipline, records attendance, organizes equipment, supports activity specialists, and participates in supervision, meetings, and required training.

Supports elementary afterschool programming by developing standards-aligned curricula, lesson plans, academic interventions, assessments, and youth activities. The role also supports child safety, family and participant relationships, compliance with program benchmarks, and communication with school leadership.

Supports the Afterschool Program Director with daily program operations, scheduling, compliance, and staff supervision. Serves as the on-site lead, coaches frontline employees, manages coverage, engages youth and families, supports outreach and behavior management, and maintains attendance, incident, and compliance records. The role coordinates with community partners and internal departments, assists with events and program materials, and acts as lead when the Program Director is unavailable.

Manage Learning to Work and Community School programs serving high school students. Oversee daily operations, staff supervision, compliance, partnerships, student services, events, data reporting, performance tracking, and budget expenditures. Lead program improvement and ensure alignment with school, DOE, contractual, and organizational requirements. Support youth development, family engagement, civic participation, and career-readiness initiatives. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

Leads NYCHA Cornerstone and SONYC youth and adult programs, overseeing daily operations, staffing, compliance, programming, budgets, reporting, safety, and community partnerships. Supervises frontline employees, coordinates with NYCHA, DYCD, schools, families, and internal departments, conducts assessments, organizes community events and workshops, and ensures participant-focused, inclusive programming.
