Produces diagnostic radiographic images, operates and calibrates imaging equipment, performs fluoroscopic and special procedures, and provides related patient care. Responsibilities include positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, processing images, maintaining accurate records, protecting confidential health information, following sterile and safety practices, and responding to physician and provider direction. The technologist must complete continuing education, meet vaccination and respirator-fit requirements, and be available for call with a 30-minute response time.
