Engineering interns contribute to active client projects, participate in meetings and training, collaborate on problem-solving, learn industry-standard engineering software, maintain project documentation, and visit project sites. The program provides mentorship, practical experience, exposure to safety and professional ethics, and opportunities to explore engineering disciplines and future career paths across infrastructure, transportation, environmental, structural, water, and building systems projects.

Leads and grows the Bangor public works office while managing civil and environmental engineering projects, especially municipal and industrial water and wastewater initiatives. Responsibilities include project design through construction, permitting, quality control, client coordination, proposals, scheduling, budgeting, business development, office operations, and mentoring junior engineers.

Designs and reviews CAD work for building services projects involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Prepares reports and specifications, performs and verifies engineering calculations, and supports site development and process controls. Works collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience and a Maine PE license, or the ability to obtain one within six months.
