Oversee day-to-day non-profit accounting operations including accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll review, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, grant and event revenue accounting, and supervise the Senior Accountant while collaborating closely with the CFO to improve processes and ensure compliance.

Hands-on semester internship assisting aquarium staff with daily care of exhibit and quarantine animals: water quality testing, food preparation and feeding, life support system maintenance, making saltwater, monitoring animal health, keeping husbandry logs, overseeing 1-2 exhibits with SOPs, presenting weekly public programs, completing and presenting a research project, and conducting dives if certified.

Lead and execute a comprehensive, data-driven fundraising strategy across individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, planned giving, and events. Partner with the CEO, executive team, and Board to set priorities, coach stakeholders, manage development staff and CRM operations, and drive donor acquisition, retention, and revenue growth for new exhibits and programs.
