Develop photonic circuits, optical interconnects, memory, and compute elements supporting high-bandwidth sensing and energy-efficient computation. Translate AI and cognitive requirements into physical systems, collaborate across engineering teams, generate foundational intellectual property, guide patent strategy, define the photonic hardware roadmap, and mentor researchers and engineers.

Own the company-wide technology vision and roadmap while serving as hands-on technical authority for robotic hardware and embodiment. Lead physical-system architecture, actuation, transmission, mechanical design, prototyping, fabrication, electronics integration, manufacturability, sourcing, and hardware IP. Build and lead the mechatronics organization, establish engineering standards, support investors and partners, and translate the platform vision into robust, scalable robotic systems and dated engineering milestones.

Lead the design of real-time perception-to-control systems for bionic robots, including sensor fusion, closed-loop control, robot learning, ROS2 integration, simulation-to-real transfer, and multi-robot coordination. Bridge unconventional biological and optical cognitive substrates with deterministic control loops while optimizing latency, stability, precision, adaptability, and swarm behavior. Develop core controls and autonomy intellectual property for manipulation, locomotion, balance, and distributed robotic systems.
