Prepares, portions, and serves meals for residents; assembles trays and delivers meal carts; manages food and floor supplies using first-in, first-out standards; cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas; and disposes of refuse according to departmental policies.

Coordinate nursing home resident assessments, ensure MDS regulatory compliance, review documentation, update care plans, lead interdisciplinary meetings, submit assessment data, produce quality reports, and communicate with nursing and other departments. The role also oversees ancillary data reporting and requires a current nursing license, geriatric nursing experience, strong documentation skills, and knowledge of nursing home regulations.

Lead nursing shifts by directing nurse aides, administering medications, implementing care plans, performing treatments, transcribing orders, documenting care, educating staff, handling staffing needs, and promoting safety and infection control.
