The External Affairs Coordinator raises awareness of organ and tissue donation through community events, campaigns, presentations, social media, webinars, and podcasts. The role develops community and corporate partnerships, coordinates volunteer ambassador opportunities, and increases donor registry participation. Responsibilities require public speaking, writing, marketing, event planning, outreach, multitasking, and relationship management. Local travel is required, and Spanish proficiency and experience working with Latino communities are preferred.

Develops hospital partnerships to promote organ and tissue donation, supports donation processes, educates healthcare staff, coordinates communication among hospitals, donor families, and the organization, analyzes data, documents interactions, and leads marketing and process-improvement initiatives. Requires a bachelor’s degree, two years of marketing or related experience, healthcare system knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. Shift schedule is not specified.

Coordinates organ donation and recovery processes, including evaluating donor suitability, coordinating organ allocation with transplant programs, assisting with surgical recovery and perioperative logistics, preparing specimens, supporting donor families, conducting medical and social history interviews, and updating electronic medical records. The role requires 12-hour day or night shifts, including weekends and some holidays, to support continuous donor management.
