DANCE IQUAIL!

DANCE IQUAIL! is a Philadelphia-based dance nonprofit and performing arts organization founded by Iquail Shaheed. It uses dance and artists’ autobiographical stories to confront social injustice and amplify Black and brown voices. Through premiere concert spaces, community centers, prisons, jails, nursing homes, discussion groups, and collaborative creation, the organization engages communities affected by poverty, racism, addiction, incarceration, systemic racism, and marginalization.
