Deploys, maintains, and scales GitLab-centered engineering platforms and tooling. Designs complex CI/CD pipelines for container, Helm, RPM, and cross-platform builds; manages artifact registries; integrates SAST, code quality, vulnerability scanning, automated testing, and security controls. Establishes development standards, branch strategies, commit conventions, code review practices, pre-commit hooks, project scaffolding, signing, and secret management. May also build machine learning specialization pipelines.

Own the infrastructure, processes, and frameworks for end-to-end system testing. Build automation frameworks, enable developer test-driven development, manage test data, and use AI to improve test generation, maintenance, coverage, and triage. The role also involves performance and reliability testing for complex systems, with preferred experience in hardware appliance testing, CI/CD integration, and observability-driven test coverage.

Conduct graduate-level research on cyber attack and defense, focusing on threat detection. Study adversary behavior, develop detection logic and research tooling, and convert research problems into working prototypes for a security platform. Collaborate with security researchers and engineers while applying expertise in malware, network traffic, vulnerability exploitation, threat hunting, reverse engineering, offensive security, machine learning, and penetration testing.
