Build and own Custral’s product end to end across frontend and backend. Design core functionality, shape product direction and architecture, work directly with users, and operate high-volume production systems. Use TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch while making independent technical decisions, researching solutions, communicating tradeoffs, and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, in-person startup environment.

Chief of Staff partners with the CEO to run company operations outside engineering. Responsibilities include leading engineering recruiting, managing customer onboarding and escalations, establishing finance, vendor, compliance, and internal systems, and feeding customer insights into product decisions. The role requires ownership of ambiguous problems, clear written communication, numerical ability, process improvement, customer engagement, and comfort working in a fast-paced early-stage startup.

Own Custral’s mobile app end to end, including product decisions, React Native development, Node and Express APIs, offline state, synchronization, conflict resolution, push notifications, and app-store releases. The role requires shaping the mobile experience, maintaining feature parity with the web app, and making independent product and technical tradeoffs in an early-stage, five-day in-person environment.

Build and own Custral’s AI agent runtime and full-stack product surfaces. Develop tool gating, context assembly from Postgres and OpenSearch, model selection, tracing, evaluation harnesses, and regression suites for LLM systems. Ship React, Node.js, and Express functionality to real users, improve agent capabilities, and ensure model and prompt changes deliver measurable customer impact. Work independently in an early-stage, in-person New York City environment.

Build and operate Custral’s full-stack product using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, AWS, and related technologies. Own core architecture, data modeling, performance, caching, realtime systems, APIs, SDKs, webhooks, infrastructure, security practices, and monorepo standards. Contribute hands-on code, conduct reviews, mentor engineers, make architectural decisions, and help hire early team members.
