Administers and maintains Esri GIS applications and ArcGIS Enterprise components supporting the USGS National Map. Troubleshoots Windows 11 and Windows Server environments, applies security updates, addresses client-system vulnerabilities, and follows configuration management and version-control standards. The role also requires understanding GIS workflows and datasets, managing multiple assignments independently in a remote environment, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Develop and enhance responsive web applications supporting The National Map and USGS geospatial data. Responsibilities include improving existing codebases, building user-focused interfaces, presenting geospatial information, creating scripted data-processing workflows, and documenting technical decisions. The role collaborates with a team and may use Python, modern JavaScript tools, mapping technologies such as ArcGIS JavaScript API, and AWS.

Develop and manage infrastructure dashboards, reports, and metrics for system performance and operational health. Administer Linux and Windows enterprise environments, support virtualized infrastructure, and use scripting, configuration management, and automation to streamline recurring processes. Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, analyze operational data, improve reliability, and communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders supporting USGS geospatial operations.
