Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve public-facing GIS applications supporting the USGS National Map. Build JavaScript solutions, automate AWS cloud-based data workflows using Lambda, S3, and EC2, improve scalability and efficiency, and collaborate on testing and problem-solving. The role involves understanding existing code, applying software engineering fundamentals, and developing maintainable applications. Python, modern front-end frameworks, Node.js, REST APIs, additional cloud platforms, and Esri technologies are preferred.

Provide administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security support for Esri GIS applications and Windows 11/Server environments supporting the U.S. Geological Survey. Configure and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise components, resolve system issues, apply security updates, address vulnerabilities, follow configuration management and version control practices, and manage multiple assignments independently in a remote setting. This is a temporary three-month contract.
