The role requires accurate adherence to SOPs, security requirements, and accreditation standards, along with process-improvement analysis, strong communication, public presentation skills, and data-management proficiency.

Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain public-facing geospatial applications for the USGS National Map. Use JavaScript and AWS technologies to automate cloud-based data workflows, improve scalability, test existing solutions, and resolve technical issues. The role requires software engineering fundamentals, analytical problem-solving, and collaboration while working with existing codebases. Preferred experience includes Python, modern frontend frameworks, Node.js, REST APIs, additional cloud platforms, and Esri technologies.

Maintain and enhance existing public-facing geospatial applications for the USGS National Map.
