Lead development, optimization, qualification, and technology transfer of cell-based assays (potency, immunogenicity) for cell and gene therapy products. Manage assay lifecycle, maintain cell lines, oversee flow cytometry-based testing, trend potency data and set specifications, provide oversight to contract labs, and contribute to regulatory submissions and technical documentation.

The Director oversees the development of novel lipid nanoparticles for RNA delivery, leading efforts in formulation, testing, and cross-functional collaboration. They drive strategic initiatives and ensure innovation in LNP research, while managing a research team.

Design, formulate, and optimize lipid nanoparticle (LNP) compositions; perform comprehensive nanoparticle characterization (size, zeta potential, morphology, encapsulation, lipid/payload quantification); develop bioconjugation strategies for targeted delivery; analyze and present experimental data; collaborate cross-functionally on formulation performance, toxicity, and efficacy studies; maintain ELNs and contribute to reports/regulatory filings; support patent interactions.
