Oversees research, materials and product development, technology transfer, scale-up, validation, regulatory compliance, NPI stage-gates, lifecycle management, budgets, hiring, and technical strategy. Partners cross-functionally across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams, while advancing innovation, intellectual property, publications, grants, and testing capabilities.

Leads preclinical research operations for medical devices, including large-animal in-vivo safety and efficacy studies, study design, protocols, reports, CRO management, regulatory strategy, budgets, and compliance. Provides scientific leadership, mentors researchers, oversees preclinical models, collaborates with Regulatory and Quality teams, supports device approvals, manages external facilities, and drives publication of surgical research.
