Investigates, evaluates, and settles complex workers’ compensation claims. Determines coverage, liability, compensability, reserves, payments, and recovery opportunities while coordinating litigation strategy with counsel. Prepares claims reports, participates in claim reviews, and ensures timely, equitable settlements within authority limits. The role also mentors new hires, conducts training, and manages multiple technical claims independently.

Investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and resolves casualty, property, and workers’ compensation claims. Determines coverage, liability, compensability, reserves, and damages; interviews claimants and witnesses; reviews medical and official reports; manages litigation and settlements; prepares client reports; participates in legal proceedings; handles regulatory filings, salvage, and subrogation. Requires compliance with insurance regulations, quality standards, licensing requirements, and occasional emergency or after-hours investigations.

Assess and quantify business interruption and financial loss claims for insurers and clients. Review and analyse financial data, prepare interim and final reports, negotiate and agree settlements, undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings, mentor junior staff, maintain case records, and support business development and client relationship activities.
