Responsibilities include managing highly available systems, incident response, monitoring, vulnerability management, compliance, deployment automation, and mentoring engineers in a 24x7 production environment.

Build and maintain responsive, accessible, high-performing web interfaces for CrashPlan’s data protection platform. Own front-end development from technical design through release, using AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js. Translate designs into reusable components, integrate REST APIs, write automated tests, optimize performance, resolve defects, and contribute to shared UI standards. Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, and QA in an Agile, globally distributed environment.

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance asynchronous Rust systems for backup, restore, data transfer, indexing, file discovery, and data resiliency. Optimize memory, CPU, I/O, and network usage across multiple platforms. Implement system-level APIs and FFI, write unit and integration tests, participate in architecture and code reviews, and collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and distributed engineering teams.

Provide technical support to eCommerce and enterprise customers through chat, email, and video calls. Diagnose issues using logs, system files, remote access, and operating system expertise; recreate and track software defects; document resolutions; meet service levels; collaborate across teams; and participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents.

Drive automation, deployment, reliability, and operational excellence for a large-scale cloud platform. Design and manage secure, highly available cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure), build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC with Terraform, lead incident response and root cause analysis, enforce security and SOC2 controls, mentor DevOps engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform automation and reliability in a 24x7 production environment.
