Founding Engineer responsible for owning end-to-end product features, working directly with customers, shaping architecture and engineering culture, and contributing to product strategy. The role focuses on applying voice AI, AI agents, and multimodal reasoning to encode repair expertise into useful product experiences. This is an in-person, high-autonomy position requiring comfort with ambiguity, customer collaboration, and early-stage startup building.

Build and operate DeepFrame’s GPU-powered video intelligence platform, including model serving, video ingestion, indexing, search, APIs, customer connectors, and enterprise deployments across AWS, single-tenant, and on-prem environments. Own reliability, observability, performance, and infrastructure costs while collaborating with Tokyo engineering and joining customer technical meetings. Serve as the technical owner for initial US pilots and deliver customer-driven product improvements.

Lead DeepFrame’s US go-to-market as the first commercial hire. Sell enterprise video-intelligence solutions, source and close technical deals, scope paid pilots, convert pilots to production contracts, and build the sales process from zero. Partner with the CEO, CTO, and founding engineer on customer strategy, pricing, technical discovery, product feedback, AWS Marketplace distribution, and initial team expansion.

Design and validate mechanical and electromechanical systems for GRID, an autonomous rebar-tying robot. Responsibilities include chassis, gantry, actuators, powertrain, terrain performance, CAD and drawing packages, structural analysis, prototyping, system testing, troubleshooting, DFM/DFA, manufacturing readiness, documentation, and mentoring engineers. The role collaborates across software, electrical, and manufacturing teams and supports field deployment and higher-volume production.

Drive a design-led hardware product from concept through prototype, EVT, DVT, and production. Responsibilities include defining phase gates, leading builds, managing BOM readiness and procurement, qualifying suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, enabling in-house assembly and testing, managing technical and supply risks, and communicating program status. The role partners closely with electrical, mechanical, industrial design, robotics, platform, and AI/ML teams and requires hands-on execution in an early-stage environment.

Build and own the embedded Linux platform for AI-enabled robots using NVIDIA Jetson systems. Responsibilities include Linux customization, bootloader and kernel integration, OTA update infrastructure, hardware-software co-design, reliability testing, diagnostics, fleet monitoring, developer tooling, and platform security. The role requires close collaboration with electrical, robotics, and AI teams and involves debugging across the full embedded stack.

Design, build, and operate end-to-end training and inference infrastructure for large language and multimodal models. Improve efficiency (memory, parallelism, kernel optimizations), ensure robust scalable training and RL pipelines, optimize low-latency/high-throughput serving (quantization, caching, speculative decoding), manage multi-GPU and multi-cloud orchestration, and productionize new algorithms with strong observability and reproducibility.
