Facilitates organizational budgeting, grant financial analysis, budget modeling, compliance reviews, variance analysis, financial reporting, and accounting process improvements. Partners with program managers, directors, and grant managers to assess funding requests, ensure adherence to GAAP and fiscal policies, review financial statements, and recommend budget adjustments. Maintains confidential accounting data and supports regulatory compliance, reporting, and implementation of accounting systems and procedures.

Provides executive leadership to establish and operate the Tribal Employment Rights Office, including staffing, budgeting, policy development, compliance, enforcement, employment referrals, training, and partnerships. Oversees the Tribe’s Interstate Bridge Replacement responsibilities, including project operations, agreements, staffing, financial management, reporting, and compliance. Advises Tribal leadership, represents the Tribe before governmental and legal bodies, coordinates contractors and participating Tribes, and develops workforce and economic opportunities for Tribal members and Indian-owned businesses.

Supervises accounts payable staff and oversees disbursements, electronic payments, vendor records, credit cards, month-end and year-end closings, 1099 processing, tribal member payments, deposits, reconciliations, reporting, and internal controls. Ensures expenditures comply with accounting policies and regulations, resolves vendor and payment issues, supports fraud reviews, and maintains accurate accounting systems. The role also trains staff, assists with hiring decisions, and prepares operational reports.
