Researches ongoing and emerging conflicts, especially in Africa and the Middle East, for the Global Conflict Tracker. Responsibilities include conflict analysis, data visualization, news tracking and fact-checking, editing, social media and newsletter content, website content management, project budget tracking, grant reporting, and occasional event or logistical support.

Leads media relations and executive communications for the Council’s president, developing proactive strategies, cultivating national and international media relationships, and drafting briefing materials, talking points, op-eds, newsletters, and digital content. Expands the president’s social media presence and public profile, advises senior executives, manages issues communications, and coordinates media opportunities, partnerships, collaborations, and events.

Conduct research on geoeconomics, sanctions, export controls, trade, finance, and economic statecraft. Support writing through fact-checking, editing, and formatting; coordinate events and external communications; manage travel and administrative tasks; track program finances and budgets in Excel; and assist with social media and other departmental initiatives.
