Undertake manual civils and surfacing tasks including concreting, drainage, masonry, kerbing, patching and paver operation. Work safely with plant/equipment, wear PPE, support less-experienced operatives, and maintain quality on public and private contracts across the South West.

Work on large surfacing contracts across Cornwall and Devon as a tarmac operative (paver driver, screwman, roller driver, banksman). Ensure plant and equipment safety, wear PPE, support junior staff, maintain high-quality workmanship, and follow site procedures on major highways and surfacing projects.

Set up and supervise traffic management to Sector Scheme 12D on surfacing and civil engineering sites. Marshal traffic and pedestrians, ensure safety and PPE use, report incidents, observe environmental practices, and supervise staff performing manual tasks.
