Leads communications for Cornell’s community engagement center and Student and Campus Life initiatives. Develops strategic storytelling and content across email, websites, social media, print, and other digital platforms. Collaborates with students, faculty, staff, community partners, and vendors to promote programs, partnerships, and impact. Manages editorial voice, communications projects, campaign analytics, content strategy, and production processes while supporting inclusive, institution-wide engagement goals.

Perform diagnostic virology testing (virus isolation, cell culture, ELISA, molecular methods, serology), receive and process clinical specimens, accurately document results, and support daily lab operations including inventory, equipment maintenance, and organization in a fast-paced diagnostic laboratory.

The Associate Managing Editor co-manages daily operations for a peer-reviewed academic journal, including manuscript submissions, online peer review, developmental and copy editing, book reviews, web content, issue production, marketing, events, reporting, and administrative communications. The role requires independent judgment, confidentiality, strong organization, and collaboration with editors, authors, reviewers, stakeholders, and the publisher.
