Integrate software, hardware, networks, infrastructure, and third-party technologies into reliable working systems. Develop test environments, deployment automation, and tooling; execute system-level tests for functionality, performance, resilience, and failure handling; investigate cross-component faults; and support demonstrations, trials, deployments, and customer acceptance. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting across software, operating systems, networks, configuration, and hardware, with Python or Bash scripting and strong systems integration fundamentals.

Principal Systems Engineer responsible for architecting complex multidisciplinary systems across software, hardware, networks, and third-party technologies. The role covers requirements engineering, system architecture, interface management, technical trade-offs, integration, verification, validation, customer acceptance, and technical risk management. The engineer will act as technical authority on major projects, lead engineering practices, mentor colleagues, and maintain hands-on involvement throughout delivery.

Provide back-office support to consultants and project teams, managing procurement, financial administration, and project processes. Maintain accurate data, prioritise tasks, suggest and implement process improvements, and collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams. Primarily office-based in Cheltenham with flexible hours or part-time options.
