Assistant Director of Nursing supports resident care, nursing staff management, staffing, care planning, MDS, performance improvement, documentation, resource availability, and infection control. The role requires licensed nursing credentials, clinical judgment, leadership experience, geriatric or long-term care knowledge, strong assessment and communication skills, and familiarity with nursing home regulations.

Provides non-clinical support to nursing services and residents by making beds, answering call lights, delivering meals, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with laundry, gathering supplies, encouraging activities, documenting information, and reporting safety or care concerns. The role helps create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming residential environment while following dietary, safety, patient-rights, and facility procedures.

Provides nursing care and shift leadership for residents, including medication administration, treatments, care-plan implementation, physician-order transcription, assessments, documentation, and shift reporting. Guides nurse aides, educates support staff, coordinates replacement staffing, responds to emergencies, and maintains infection-control and workplace-safety standards. Requires an RN or LVN license in good standing, strong assessment and documentation skills, effective communication, organization, and attention to detail.
