The Director of Social Services leads the social service unit, managing care plans for residents, ensuring program compliance, and fostering community partnerships.

Provide clinical coordination and crisis response services: develop clinical partnerships, link clients to mental health and substance-use supports, conduct crisis assessments and de-escalation, create staff training and wellness resources, lead case conferences and supervise interns, maintain documentation and data for program improvement.

Manage social work services for a Suffolk County shelter program, ensuring compliance with HUD/OTDA/Section 8 and funder requirements. Supervise and coach staff, oversee admissions/discharges, maintain records and reports, ensure licensing and trainings, coordinate referrals, provide crisis intervention, manage payroll/coverage, and act as agency representative to partners.
