Community Academies of New Orleans, Inc.

Community Academies of New Orleans (CANO) is a nonprofit school organization that strengthens educational opportunities while honoring the distinct cultures and communities of its schools. It brings together New Orleans campuses serving elementary and middle-grade students, with a mission to nurture students’ character and critical thinking in responsive learning environments. Its Esperanza program emphasizes equal Spanish-English instruction, aiming for students to become bilingual, biliterate, academically successful, and community-minded leaders.
