Build and inspect precision, ultra-high-vacuum subassemblies for the SPARC Tokamak, maintaining cleanliness and quality standards. Oversee contract technicians, perform helium leak testing and equipment checkouts, support tooling and component design, align optical systems, and assist with installation. The role also involves resolving nonconformances, using machining and measurement tools, rigging heavy components, and eventually transitioning to machine assembly.

Designs, implements, and optimizes manufacturing processes and assembly lines in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Responsibilities include process documentation, manufacturability collaboration, Lean and Six Sigma implementation, tooling and equipment procurement, troubleshooting, time studies, continuous improvement, safety compliance, and automation evaluation. The role requires hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and work in an industrial facility with various hazards.

Manage siting, land acquisition support, regulatory engagement, environmental permitting, and stakeholder outreach for commercial fusion power plant development. Lead permit applications, environmental due diligence, utility and land-use approvals, consultant and contractor coordination, regulatory proceedings, compliance systems, schedules, risk registries, and multi-site permitting frameworks. Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, government affairs, and external stakeholders to deliver projects safely, compliantly, and on schedule.
