Commonwealth Fusion Systems Benefits Overview

Lead and scale a global, hardware-intensive supply chain for commercial fusion power plants. Build strategy and supplier roadmaps, negotiate complex partnerships, architect supply chain systems, and manage a ~100-person team to enable multi-plant annual delivery.

Perform mid- to large-scale precision alignments and dimensional inspections using portable 3D metrology (laser trackers, scanners, software). Collect, organize, and analyze metrology datasets, evaluate measurement uncertainty, communicate results, collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, and support assembly activities while maintaining equipment and following safety and onsite procedures.

The Staff Controls and Software Engineer will develop control systems for fusion energy equipment, collaborate with R&D and engineering teams, and oversee project design, testing, and optimization.
