Teams at Common Cause

Leads Common Cause California’s legislative and policy agenda, including drafting legislation, lobbying, testifying, negotiating amendments, building coalitions, managing advocacy campaigns, and representing the organization with policymakers, partners, media, donors, and the state advisory board. The role also oversees lobbying filings, communications, consultants, fundraising support, and stakeholder engagement. It is based in the Sacramento area with regular in-person Capitol work and periodic travel.

Senior leadership role overseeing and supporting State Directors across multiple states to align state and national priorities, manage teams and budgets, lead advocacy and legislative strategy, represent the organization externally, support fundraising, and drive organization-wide change and professional development to advance Common Cause's mission.

Lead statewide grassroots organizing and coalition-building to grow and engage supporters, coordinate advocacy and election protection activities, manage volunteers and interns, support policy research and legislative tracking, assist fundraising and advisory board logistics, and handle communications and administrative tasks.
