Columbus State Community College Benefits Overview

Provides in-person individual and small-group tutoring in mathematics and statistics, helping students strengthen course knowledge, study skills, learning strategies, and critical thinking. Maintains tutoring records, prepares department reports, communicates with instructors, supports tutoring software, attends training, assists other tutors, participates in outreach and program operations, and conducts special study sessions as requested.

Provides in-person one-on-one and small-group tutoring in developmental mathematics through College Algebra, with Statistics tutoring desirable. Supports students’ learning and study skills, documents tutoring sessions, communicates student progress to academic coaches and instructors, generates reports, uses tutoring software, attends training, and maintains an inclusive learning environment.

Provides residency and student-record support to new and continuing students. Reviews documentation, interprets Ohio residency regulations, certifies in-state tuition eligibility, updates residency statuses, and responds to inquiries in person, by phone, and electronically. Coordinates with student services departments, maintains confidential records, conducts outreach and presentations, supports residency forms and web content, and ensures compliance with college, state, and federal requirements.
