Design and build backend features and architecture for Coder’s enterprise platform. Improve scalability, database migrations, upgrade reliability, concurrency handling, and operational performance in regulated and air-gapped environments. Investigate production issues, document technical tradeoffs, participate in design reviews and code reviews, and support owned services through on-call rotations.

Own technical pre-sales for federal, defense, and intelligence customers. Lead platform demonstrations, architecture discussions, deployments, troubleshooting, and proofs of concept in cloud, on-premises, classified, and air-gapped environments. Partner with account executives to close opportunities, support renewals, translate technical capabilities into mission value, and provide customer feedback to product and engineering teams. Focus areas include Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, cloud development environments, and AI-assisted or agentic software development.

Provide first-line employee IT support, manage onboarding and offboarding, administer SaaS applications and licenses, maintain macOS hardware and assets, and support SOC 2 and GDPR compliance. Improve IT workflows, document processes, manage access controls, and help scale infrastructure and support operations in a hybrid environment.
