Lead statewide community and coalition outreach to grow CHIRLA's climate-impacted membership, coordinate trainings, events, and advocacy campaigns, develop educational materials, support media and policy work, and travel across California to build leadership among immigrant communities.

Provides administrative and subcontract support to the Director of Programs and Subcontract Administration. Duties include preparing and reviewing contract documents under attorney supervision, organizing reports and invoices, maintaining records and databases, coordinating meetings and travel, tracking project progress, liaising with departments and external partners, and supporting audits and compliance activities. The role requires strong organization, communication, legal-document comprehension, deadline management, and proficiency with office, database, and scheduling tools.

Oversee the Removal Defense Unit, including staff supervision, recruitment, training, case assignments, quality assurance, legal services, budgeting, grant reporting, data compliance, community outreach, partnerships, and fundraising. Represent and advise immigrant clients in complex removal defense and immigration matters before courts and agencies. Collaborate with Legal Services leadership to improve program operations, protocols, and service delivery.

Lead and manage CHIRLA's grant writing portfolio by researching funders, writing and packaging proposals and reports, maintaining grant records and systems, overseeing and supporting grant writers, coordinating with development and program staff, and expanding and diversifying grants and contracts to meet fundraising goals.

Research, draft, and manage grant proposals and reports; maintain grants calendar and records; collaborate with program and finance staff to develop funder-ready narratives; prospect funders and support broader fundraising activities and events.

The Managing Attorney (PSA) oversees legal services programs, managing contracts, training staff, ensuring compliance, and providing legal support in immigration law.

Provide direct immigration legal representation, prepare filings and court advocacy, supervise paralegals, conduct client intake and outreach, maintain case records and compliance, and engage in community-based advocacy and systemic reform to support immigrant clients.
