Lead the design and operation of an SRE and observability function for approximately 70 security-product components. Define SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, ownership, alerting, escalation, and incident practices. Build fleet telemetry collection and instrumentation using Python, Go, and Rust, supporting bare-metal and customer-managed hosts. Establish symptom-based alerting, routing, runbooks, and squad-owned pagers while improving detection of silent security-control degradation to under 24 hours.

Investigate upstream Linux kernel fixes, backport patches to older RPM/Debian kernels, resolve conflicts, build reproducible kernel packages, validate patches with tests and regression analysis, and improve workflows using Python/Go/Shell and automation tools.

Maintain and modernize the Patchman backend infrastructure, build and test new product features, operate a large fleet of servers, improve CI/CD pipelines, monitor and optimize performance and reliability, debug complex production issues, and collaborate cross-functionally on architecture and technical direction.

Own and improve production PostgreSQL reliability, disaster recovery, automation, and observability. Support ClickHouse, MongoDB, and Redis operations, automate DBA workflows (Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, GitLab CI/CD), build self-service DB tools, and drive incident response, runbooks, and measurable RTO/RPO targets.
