Teams at CloudBees

Lead technical direction for CloudBees CI while remaining hands-on with Java development, distributed systems, Kubernetes, Jenkins internals, architecture, refactoring, performance, and reliability. Drive cross-team initiatives, design and code reviews, mentoring, testing, secure coding, release quality, incident resolution, and customer-focused improvements to an established CI/CD platform.

Provide technical customer support by answering product questions, diagnosing complex issues, developing solutions or workarounds, and collaborating with Support and Engineering teams. Document solutions, contribute to internal diagnostic automation tools, and participate in a weekend daytime on-call rotation. The role requires strong DevOps, Linux, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.

Lead platform engineering for CloudBees by defining the technical roadmap, writing critical production code, improving system stability and performance, and guiding engineering teams. Build and operate Go-based microservices on AWS, establish testing and release practices, drive observability, conduct design and code reviews, and document architecture decisions. The role requires deep distributed-systems expertise, ownership of complex platforms, and hands-on principal-level contribution.
